We are a team of engineering students that met Arizona State University and united our passions to make sustainable agriculture a reality. We first met at ASU in a program called Engineering Projects in Community Service, or EPICS, where we worked on building a prototype aquaponics system for community use. While in this program, we realized that we could help make sustainable food growing accessible to all by commercializing, and competed in an entrepreneurship accelerator program called eSeed at ASU. Since then, we have decided to create and design individual aquaponics systems for in home use and growing. We also entered in Edson at ASU to further our business.
Veronica holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from ASU, and is currently attaining her Master's degree in Sustainable Engineering. As the original co-founder of Aquaponos, she serves as the 'glue' of the team and is driven by her passions for the environment and food justice.
Chandler is a senior in Mechanical Engineering at ASU. His expertise in 3D CAD modeling and background in manufacturing lead him to become our Project Designer. With his expertise, he is able to model our products and ensure the precise engineering and mechanics of each system.
